Meredith is a Colorado native who has lived in Vista Ridge for most of her life. She has
been swimming since she was 4 years old and grew up swimming on the Vista Ridge swim
team—an experience that makes coaching RipTide especially meaningful. This summer will
mark her fifth season coaching with the team and she’s excited to return to the pool deck.
She recently graduated from California Lutheran University where she earned her
Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. As she navigates post-grad life, she’s had the
opportunity to coach at a higher level alongside her former high school coach. This past winter,
Meredith served as the assistant coach for the high school team and head coach for the brand
new middle school swim program at St. Mary’s Academy. The high school team had an
outstanding season, winning their league meet for the fourth year in a row and finishing second
at the 3A Swim and Dive State Championships. As a high school swimmer herself, Meredith
swam for Longmont High School—where she was a part of their state championship team in
2018–before finishing her career with Erie High School’s newly established program.
Meredith has worked for The Town of Erie for over six years as a lifeguard and has been
a Water Safety Instructor for the past three. She enjoys teaching kids both private and group
lessons and loves helping others feel confident and safe in the water. She’s also a certified scuba
diver, always looking for new ways to explore her passion for the aquatic world. Outside of
coaching, Meredith enjoys paddleboarding, long walks, reading mystery novels, and listening to
true crime podcasts. She’s a devoted dog lover and loves spending time with her dog, Jordi, and
regularly dogsits around the Erie area. Whether she is leading a practice or diving into new
adventures herself, Meredith is passionate about helping others have fun in the water and
develop a lifelong love for swimming.
